Since the 1960’s Orley Foods has been manufacturing and supplying products to its large customer base - from informal traders to leading retailers and independent wholesalers. Apart from the flagship product, Orley Whip, considered to be the créme de la créme of non-dairy cream alternatives, Orley supply syrups, caramel spreads, milkshake syrups, fruit toppings, fruit cubes and chocolate products including caramel chips, melting chocolate and vermicelli. Products are packed in varying quantities for customer convenience and all products are accredited by the SABS as HACCP compliant - an international food safety standard. We cater for a variety of specialist markets including dairy free, sugar free, kosher and halaal. Orley with its strong team of food technologists drives to be your food solutions partner and can develop custom made products to suit your needs.

Panning & Coating Technology

The Panning and Coating Technology is using Chocolate coating and Sugar coating.  Any centre can be used and coated e.g. Nuts, raisins, cereals, biscuits, meringues, honey comb, pumpkin seeds etc with any type of chocolate.  We can produce a smooth and round or irregular finish to the end product.

Gemz Technology

Gemz Technology

Orley Food’s Fruit cubes are known as Gemz.  Gemz are extremely versatile fruit cubes or laces that are formulated for numerous applications.  Gemz can be tailor made to meet specific needs or application of manufacturer.  Gemz are bake stable and retain their softeness in application such as biscuits, muffins and cereals - attributes which make them ideal ingredient in baked, frozen or dry products on the market. 
Gemz contain Real Fruit, which not only gives the product an authentic fruity flavour but also allows the manufacture to make specific claims.  Gemz are also available in fruit flavoured range where only colour and flavour are added.

Sugar Technology

Sugar Technology

Our Sugar Technology produces a wide range of products – golden syrups, invert syrup, fruit toppings, spreads, hard boiled for a wide variety of applications. Sucralene for example is a quality product made by dissolving refined cane sugar in water. It is versatile sugar syrup, which may be used in many industries including the confectionery, baking, fruit juices and beverage industry

Orley is the industry’s leading supplier of chocolate chips and chocolate coatings. They specialise in not only the bulk supply of compound and coverture chocolate, but also speciality chocolates that can be used on ice creams as well as long shelf life sauces and spreads.

Non-dairy Cream

Non-dairy Cream

The Non Dairy Technology department produces our Orley Whip.  This is Orley’s first food product and only retail product.  Orley Whip is a convenient, versatile alternative to fresh Crème.  It whips up to 3 times its volume, contains no animal fat, and has a 4-month refrigerated shelf life.  It comes in a handy twin pack which means you can use 125ml and keep the rest for later.  We also manufacture Non Dairy Crème for the wholesale market as well.
